The Indonesian athlete returned an adverse analytical finding (AAF) for a Prohibited Substance in a urine sample provided in-competition on 4 December 2023 during the 2023 World Abilitysport Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

The substance concerned is Propranolol and its metabolite 4-hydroxy-propranolol. The substance is included on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) 2023 Prohibited List under the class P1 Beta-blockers. Beta-blockers are prohibited at all times in shooting and para shooting sports.

The athlete accepted a voluntary Provisional Suspension which took effect on 14 April 2024.

The athlete accepted the commission of the ADRV and the consequences proposed by World Abilitysport. As a result of her violation, the results obtained by the athlete in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 competition at the 2023 World Abilitysport Games in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand are disqualified, with all resulting Consequences, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes.

Any Further Consequences to be imposed (including, but not limited to, any period of Ineligibility) are to be determined in the following by the International Paralympic Committee (the IPC) or its hearing panel, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the IPC Rules.

Each athlete is strictly liable for the substances found in their sample. An ADRV occurs whenever a prohibited substance (or its metabolites or markers) is found in their bodily specimen, whether or not the athlete intentionally or unintentionally used a prohibited substance or was negligent or otherwise at fault.

As a signatory of the World Anti-Doping Code (the WADC), World Abilitysport has established the World Abilitysport Anti-Doping Code in compliance with the general principles of the WADC, and in furtherance of World Abilitysport’s continuing efforts to eradicate doping in sports within Paralympic sport.
