At the General Assembly held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on 8 December, World Abilitysport Members voted to suspend the Membership of the RFSPPI and the Belarus National Paralympic Committee. This suspension is subject to the exception that athletes (and related support personnel) from the respective nations will remain eligible to participate in an individual and neutral capacity in wheelchair fencing and wheelchair dance sport.

World Abilitysport is the International Federation for wheelchair fencing and (as from 1 January 2024) wheelchair dance sport. Participation in wheelchair fencing and wheelchair dance sport by athletes (and related support personnel) from Russia and Belarus will be subject to such conditions as determined by the World Abilitysport Board of Trustees.
