Padel Set to Make Games Debut at the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games

The first edition of the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games is set to welcome athletes from 18 – 25 October to the picturesque coastline of Mersin, Türkiye hosting a diverse sport programme of aquatic, open air and beach sports.

Padel will be making its World Abilitysport Games debut at the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games.

The first edition of the World Abilitysport Beach Games will welcome athletes to Mersin, Türkiye from 18-25 October to compete in a diverse sports programme of aquatic, open air and beach sports.

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between World Abilitysport and Inclusive Padel Tour, the announcement of its inclusion in the Games underscores a shared commitment to expanding the reach of padel to athletes with physical impairments.

Inclusive Padel Tour currently hosts an international circuit of events for its growing following of athletes with the Beach Games in Mersin, Türkiye adding to a 2025 calendar of host cities including Miami, Rome, Dubai and London.

With padel recognized as the fastest growing sport worldwide and played by an estimated 30 million people in 140 countries, the growth of the sport for athletes with impairments is set for significant growth.

Competing against the picturesque backdrop of Mersin’s Mediterranean coastline, athletes will enjoy an unforgettable experience and celebration of Para sport in Türkiye.”

Padel joins the 2025 Beach ParaVolley World Championships which were recently announced for the programme. Official competition will be held for padel on 20th October with training and friendly competition opportunities hosted until the close of the Games on 24th October.

Entry by number for the Games will open in May with final entries closing in early September
